Synopsis
Alex and Mike are a young interracial gay couple living and working in Dublin, Ireland. With their
relationship becoming more serious; Alex is nervous about meeting Mike’s parents for the first
time with their impending visit to the city. On the day in question, Alex is awoken to a call that
they arrived in Dublin earlier than expected and want to spend more of the day with them beyond
a planned dinner.
While they have never been happier, family always complicates things and these parents are no exception.

Written and Directed by Lee-Loi Chieng, “Meeting His Parents” also features Lee-Loi as Alex; Andrew Cusack as Mike; Janet Little as Anita and Gerry Grimes as Paul.
Shooting on location in Dublin Ireland: the behind-the-scenes creative team includes director of photography Alan Dunne ("Family Night”); composer Helen Lynch (Additional Music Design "Gran Turismo"); and sound editor/re-recording mixer Ed Costello through WindMill Lane Post Production.
Self-funded, produced, edited and colour graded by Lee-Loi Chieng credited as 詹礼雷 through Polite Thunder Pictures. His sister Melissa even did the anime digital prop graphic design!
